Longstanding client relationships with large corporations like Chevron and Shell and smaller, privately owned businesses like Hess have validated the industry expertise and work ethic of one of the best in this business. 

Y&S Marine was founded in 1974 by E.L. and partner Raymond A. Yuratich. Over the subsequent decades, they established a culture of excellence – along with a reputation for being an industry leader in offshore services.

E.L Scobel, III (Trae)
Vice President & Business Development

Y&S Marine has been a part of Trae's life since he was a young child. Growing up in the business has equipped him with a vast overview of the marine transportation industry, and expanded knowledge and expertise. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University, Trae assumed an operations role within the company, broadening his skills both onshore and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Trae is a licensed Captain, and has a reputation for fairness and flexibility. 

Stephen Scobel
Operations and Human Resources Manager

Stephen Scobel oversees all onshore operations, hiring and training at Y&S Marine. Also having grown up in the family business, Stephen is well rounded in the marine transportation industry. He holds multiple certifications, and is responsible for the enrollment of new hires, employee retention and training. He also handles scheduling and coordinating repairs, maintenance, safety inspections. 

Gena Scobel
Accounts Payable

Gena Scobel has worked with Y & S Marine for over ten years. With a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, her role as benefits manager is key in providing Y&S Marine employees with knowledge and education regarding their benefits packages.
